Almost six decades ago, a group of enterprising young men wanted to find a place where they could play tennis, swim and provide a safe environment for their families without traveling for miles. They come together and purchased a lot at the corner of McKinley Avenue and High Streets in 1954. Nestled away from the hustle and bustle of Colonia's Inman Avenue is Springwood Swim Club the perfect spot to laze away the summer days and enjoy time with Family and friends.
Springwood Swim Club is a member only, non-profit. We offer both bond and seasonal members. Bond members make a one time payment of $500 and enjoy the benefits of ownership including: discounts on annual membership, lower cost of swim lessons and swim team participation, lower cost of guest passes, voting rights and responsibilities in the Club and eligibility for election to the Board of Governors.
Springwood's main attraction is the spring water-fed and heated 105' pool, rebuilt in 2009. It has a diving board with easy access entry points for all ages and a water park-like slide . Lap lanes are available at designated times for those who wishes to exercise while others enjoy the remaining pool areas. The pool is handicapped accessible with an operating chair lift. Alongside the main pool in a gated area is a zero-entry kiddie/wading pool complete with sprinklers. The entire area is designed to provide parents with a safe and secure area for toddlers to enjoy the summer. Tables, chairs and chaise lounges are available on the pool deck or enjoy our extensive picnic area with tables, grills and children playground.
The swim club is open Memorial Day to Labor Day.
